Armenia Visa for Indians

Indian passport holders generally need to check Armenia visa eligibility before travel. Armenia provides an e-Visa route for eligible Indian ordinary passport holders, and the Embassy of Armenia in India also explains an embassy application route.

Armenia Visa Overview

Armenia is popular with Indian travellers because it combines short flight routes, mountain scenery, monasteries, Yerevan city life, Lake Sevan, wine routes and compact itineraries.

Main Options for Indian Travellers

  • Armenia e-Visa for eligible short visits

  • Embassy route where an applicant chooses to apply through an Armenian mission

  • Visa-free entry in limited cases where the traveller qualifies under a current residence-permit exemption

  • Diplomatic passport exemption for short official travel, as applicable

Important Eligibility Point

Armenia announced a temporary visa exemption from 1 July 2026 to 1 July 2027 for nationals of listed countries who hold certain valid residence permits from the US, EU, Schengen area, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Oman, provided the residence permit is valid for at least six months from entry.
